Celine was born in the picturesque town of "Perpignan", South of France, from a strongly Hispanic family. At the tender age of two and a half, she would sing with her grandmother Sabina her favorite French and Spanish lullabies. Celine would not be afraid to put on a show at her mother's workplace, "Galleries Lafayettes", in the music department, singing away in front of delighted customers. Celine was enrolled at the International Conservatorium at the age of eight, and eight years later, received a very high achievement end of studies diploma in the discipline of Viola and Chamber Music.
In 1995, Celine's incredible voice was
discovered by Arnaud Reynal, writer and composer of the French musical "Carpediem, who was invited to perform at the prestigious Parisian
Theater "L'Olympia" in 1997. This performance gave the show popularity in the Southern part of France. After the very strong feedback
that she received, Celine knew her dream to singing stardom had just begun. There was no turning back. In spite of a promising career
as a Spanish Teacher, Celine chose to pursue her passion and dream, bringing a smile to people's faces with her songs. Celine will
perform in various shows all the way to 1999 between France and Spain, and will study jazz vocals at the "J.A.M.", reputable French
Jazz School, ending with a very high achievement award .
In December 1999, It was time for Celine to say goodbye to her native land
France and embark on a journey to Australia, to meet with her husband in Cairns, and encounter a whole new culture and music scene.
It wasn't until 2003 that Celine started performing again. Having lived through the experience of two such different worlds had
brought maturity and strong heart to Celine's original lyrics, songs about her journey, struggles, love, relationships, spirituality.
In 2006, Celine DeeAz became the co-founder of the ladies covers duet "Prodigal Sista", which was very popular in the
Cairns Region. "Prodigal Sista" also performed their original tunes at "Brothers Leagues Club"concert hall in Cairns as the opening
act for "Boys To Men" show, and at The "Tanks Arts Centre" not long after in 2008. Celine found a new wave of creativity and confidence
through collaboration during that time, and fresh new tunes came out of this strong sister like relationship, with influences from
Modern Jazz, R&B, 70's hits, to Pop, Latin.
2010 and it is time for Celine DeeAz to open up her wings and fly towards the
pic of her carrier, which compiles thirteen years of experience, love and relationships. You will find Celine and her band performing
at Premier Events, Weddings, popular Venues for the social set in and around North Queensland.
